Bob has practiced litigation and business law for more than 30 years. He has
extensive experience in insurance coverage and bad faith,
employment and commercial litigation matters. He also has
served as an expert witness in matters of insurance coverage,
insurance industry standards and bad faith claims in a number
of states. His employment law experience includes litigation
of employment disputes and discrimination claims.
Bob specializes in providing general corporate legal counsel
geared toward high-tech industries, particularly telecommunications.
He has been successful in negotiating and drafting contracts
between facilities-based local and long distance providers
and their agents. Other activities have included preparing
non-compete and employment contracts, developing confidentiality
and proprietary agreements, and building general benefit
incentive packages to aid in the retention of technology
workers.
Previously a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of
Justice in Washington, D.C. and a partner at White &
Steele in Denver, Bob is a widely sought out legal expert.
He has taught insurance at the University of Northern Colorado
and currently teaches trial practice at the University of
Denver's School of Law. He regularly speaks before local,
regional and national audiences, and has been published
in the Defense Counsel Journal and For the Defense.
As a testament to Bob's legal expertise and ongoing commitment
to the legal profession, he was recently named chairman
of the membership board in the American Bar Association's
General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Section.
